Frequently asked

On joining the SEA

Do I need to be a qualified therapist?

No. Anyone seriously interested in the field is welcome at any rate. The directory listing is reserved for qualified practitioners.

Can I change my membership later?

Yes. Changes take effect at the next renewal; the system pro-rates if you move during a year.

Do members get the journal in print?

Membership includes full online access to Existential Analysis — no tier includes print copies of the journal. The Hermeneutic Circular, the Society’s magazine, is printed and posted to UK members.

Bursaries for students?

The Hans W. Cohn Bursary Fund supports students through doctoral research and conference attendance.
