UKCP registration through the SEA

The SEA is an Organisational Member of the Constructivist and Existential College (CEC) within the UKCP, and an accrediting body for existential trainings.

The SEA is an Accrediting Organisational Member for the existential training at Regent’s University London, and for trainings accredited by EAP and FETE. Graduates of those schools can ask the SEA to register them with the UKCP, provided the necessary conditions are met.

1. Eligibility

Each June and October, training institutions advise the SEA Registration Officer of the names and emails of trainees who have completed their training and are eligible to register with the UKCP. The Registration Officer then emails those graduates.

When a trainee applies, the UKCP Membership Team asks the SEA Registration Officer to confirm eligibility; on confirmation, the modality is recorded as Existential Psychotherapist. New registrants are added to the list of SEA members registered with the UKCP, which the Registration Officer maintains.

2. Annual renewal

SEA members registered with the UKCP renew annually and are required to meet the UKCP’s continuing professional development and re-accreditation requirements. The SEA supports members through this process.
